Jasmin Cowin

Dr. Jasmin Cowin is a distinguished educator and researcher at the forefront of AI integration in education. As Associate Professor at the Touro University Graduate School of Education, she has established herself as a leading voice in digital pedagogy and artificial intelligence literacy, receiving the 2024 CETL Faculty Fellowship for Excellence in Teaching. As a 2024–2025 CETL Faculty Fellow at Touro University, Dr. Cowin advances faculty development and AI literacy initiatives while collaborating with the AI@Touro team on in-person and virtual AI workshops and university AI policy framework research. Her fellowship tenure has yielded significant scholarly contributions, including "A guided tour through Google DeepMind's - An approach to technical AGI safety and security" (Stankevicius, April 2025), "Precision in Practice: Structured Prompting Strategies to Enhance TESOL" (TESOL International, March 2025), and "Agentic AI Nexus: When Machines Decide" (Horasis, December 2024).
Her international impact extends through her role as a 2024 U.S. Department of State English Language Specialist, delivering plenary keynotes, workshops, and resources on AI and digital technology pedagogy innovation globally. As a Richard P. Nathan Public Policy Fellow (2024-2025) at the Rockefeller Institute of Government, she conducts transdisciplinary research on European Digital Initiatives and the European AI Act. Dr. Cowin has represented Touro University at prestigious venues including the AAQEP Conference in Arizona, the ASPAI Project in Spain, and the VI International Conference on Human–AI Synergy.
Dr. Cowin’s involvement with Computers for Schools Burundi, and “train the trainer” in Morocco and Yemen, reflects her visionary "Education for 2060" framework. As a columnist for Stankevicius, she explores the intersection of Nicomachean Ethics, AI, and education, showcasing her transdisciplinary approach to preparing education systems for a resilient future.
